Yes, railway ticket fares can change over time. Indian Railways revises its base fare structure periodically usually during the annual budget or when fuel prices change. The superfast surcharge and reservation fees are also revised from time to time. For premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto, the fare changes dynamically based on demand. The more seats that are booked the higher the fare becomes for the remaining seats. Convenience fees charged by IRCTC are also subject to change.
