Who can book tickets after the reservation chart is prepared?

After the chart is prepared, tickets can be booked from the station reservation counter or through the TTE on board the train. Online booking through IRCTC is not possible once the chart has been finalised. Passengers who are already waitlisted and do not get confirmation can board the train with a waitlisted ticket and approach the TTE for a vacant berth. The TTE has the authority to allot emergency quotas and vacant berths to eligible passengers. General quota passengers can also purchase unreserved tickets and request the TTE for a berth if chart vacancy shows empty seats.
