How long is a PNR valid after the journey?

A PNR remains valid in the IRCTC system for about 30 days after the scheduled journey date for refund and record purposes. During this period you can check your PNR status to see the final booking confirmation status, download the electronic reservation slip, or track any refund that has been processed. After 30 to 45 days the PNR is archived and is no longer available on the public enquiry system. If you need a duplicate ticket or journey details for insurance or reimbursement claims, you should download and save the reservation details before this period ends.
