Train Schedule FAQ
What information does a train schedule include?
A train schedule includes the train number and name, the list of all stations where it halts in order, the scheduled arrival time at each station, the scheduled departure time, the halt duration in minutes, the distance from the origin to each station, and the day number for overnight journeys. Some schedules also show the platform number where the train typically arrives at each station, the speed limits on different sections of the route, and whether it is a technical halt for crew changes or a commercial halt for passengers. The schedule also notes the days of operation if the train does not run daily.
