What is a train schedule?

A train schedule is the official timetable published by Indian Railways that lists every station where a train halts along its route, along with the scheduled arrival and departure times at each station. It also includes the distance from the origin station to each stop, the day number of the journey for multi-day trips, and the total travel time from the source to the destination. The schedule helps passengers plan when to arrive at the station and how long the train will take to reach each stop. Every train has a fixed schedule that is published by the railway zone operating it.
