Coach Position FAQ
Does coach position remain the same on every trip?
Coach position does not always remain the same on every trip. While the overall composition of a train is generally fixed, the position of individual coaches can change when the train is turned around for the return journey. For example the coach that was at the rear during the onward trip may end up at the front during the return trip because the engine is attached from the opposite end. The railway also adds or removes coaches based on seasonal demand, which alters the positions. Passengers should check the coach position before each trip rather than assuming it will be the same as a previous journey.
