Coach Position FAQ

Why does coach position matter?

Coach position matters because it saves you time and effort when boarding and deboarding the train. If your coach is at the front of the train and you are standing near the rear of the platform, you would have to walk the entire length of the train carrying your luggage. Coach position is especially important during short halts of only one or two minutes when you need to board or get off quickly. Passengers with reserved berths can locate their coach in advance using the coach position guide available on the platform. It also helps you identify which coach is nearest to the exit at your destination station.
